For many years now Arabian horse owners around the country have asked
for an affordable Arabian show venue where the novice can test his or
her skill and where the local Amateur owner can compete with other Arabian
enthusiasts at an affordable level outside of the Class A and Regional
competitions.
Now, as a result of the establishment of the Arabian Horse Association
and a streamlined process for launching new programs, AHA has developed
a new show venue: "Arabian Community Shows (ACS)".
The basic concepts
include:
- Affordability to encourage the fun of showing rather than qualifying.
- General guidelines that allow for a more flexible rules requirement.
- A primary focus on Arabians, Half-Arabians and Anglo-Arabians registered
with the Arabian Horse Association Registry or the Canadian Arabian Horse Registry.
- Year-end High-point program that creates recognition for top achievement
by category and value for the horse.
- A Milestone award program that recognizes personal achievements and
tracking of an individual's progress.
- Web-based show approval, results entry and tracking to keep costs
down and data current.

High-Point Awards
As an exhibitor in an Arabian Community Show, you and/or your horse will
accumulate points based on how you place. AHA member exhibitors will earn
awards based on the number of points they accumulate within class categories
and year-to-date.
Milestone Awards Individual AHA member exhibitors will earn points that will accumulate
over time based on how they place in ACS competitions. At specific "milestones",
based on total points earned, individuals will receive awards and be recognized
for their accomplishments on the AHA website.
Horse Performance RecordsAHA & CAHR registered Arabians, Half-Arabians and Anglo-Arabians competing in
an ACS will have their accomplishments recorded in the horse's permanent
event record in the web-based world database, Arabian
Horse DataSource

Go to: ACS Account Manager
Entering the show results from your ACS is a simple step by step
process that must be initiated within 20 days after the last day of the
show:
- Select the specific ACS Show from the Account Manager
page from your Member Only area on the AHA website.
- Identify the appropriate Categories and build the Class
lists by Category; and
- Enter the Exhibitor #, Horse Registration # and Member
# for up to 8 places for each class.
- Click on "Check Information" to complete the
class entries information.
After entering the ACS Show results, you will be asked to
"Publish ACS Results", which requires an online
credit card payment that equals $5 times the total number
of AHA/CAHR registered horses competing at this ACS.
This fee covers the cost of enrolling each exhibitor/member into the
Year-End High Point Award and individual Milestone Award programs; updating
performance results for each horse that placed on the horse's show
record at AHA and administrative processing for both the exhibitor and
horse.
After completing the payment for "Publish ACS Results":
- ACS show results will be displayed on the AHA website,
- AHA's Arabian Horse DataSource online pedigree service will display
the show results by horse,
- Status of ACS High-Point Award and individual Milestone Award programs
will be updated and available for viewing via the AHA website, and
- Members that have achieved a specific Milestone in that award program
will be mailed their individual award.
