Although not sponsored by Region 1, The Healing with Horses Therapy and Enrichment Programs through The Pegasus Rising Project is situated just outside of San Diego in Rancho Santa Fe, Calif. The project was developed after a herd of Arabians was rescued from a life of neglect. Click here for more information.

Congratulations Allison Cederberg
Region 6 congratulates Allison Cederberg of Billings, Mont. for her outstanding accomplishments at Youth Nationals. Allison won six National Championships and two Top 10s.

Club Presidents, Don't Forget Your Nominations
Volunteer Service Award nominations must be sent to AHA by September 15. Clubs that have 100 members or less may select one recipient, while clubs with more than 100 members may select up to two recipients. Please notify Regional Director, Cecile Dunn of your selections.

Clubs may also nominate a member to receive a Volunteer Service Award for the Regional level. This nomination must be sent directly to Region Director, Cecile Dunn by August 31.

Eastern Yearling Futurity Special, 2009 Foal Back-In
Because the Eastern Arabian Horse Show, East Coast Youth and East Coast Championships were such a rousing success, the futurity committee has decided to open the futurity for this year.

From September 1 through October 31, 2009, foals may be nominated for the Eastern Yearling Futurity to be held at the Eastern Arabian Horse Show, East Coast Youth and East Coast Championships August 4-8, 2010. There will be two classes for purebreds and two classes for half-Arabians; these will be held in conjunction with the Eastern Arabian Horse Show

The fee is $250.00 per foal, fully paid. Information required is Sire and Dam's name and registration numbers and foal's name and registration. Foals are required to be registered and papers issued prior to showing.

Checks should be made payable to the Eastern Yearling Futurity and with all information be mailed to EAHS, PO Box 1007, Lebanon, PA 17042.
