DEADLINES
In Utero Foals by December 31
 
Halter Futurities and Breeding Entries share the same deadline this year - December 31. You can avoid a late fee by getting them in on time.

If you miss the Dec. 31st deadline for Halter Futurity in utero or re-nominations, you can pay a $100 late fee per horse per country by Feb 15 for in utero and Mar. 31 for re-nominated horses.

The deadline for Sweepstakes Breeding Entry nominations is also December 31. You may enter a Breeding Entry up through Feb 15 with an additional $100 late fee.

Community Shows Wrap-Up
100 Years
If you hosted an ACS this year, please ensure that all your show results are completed and posted. Year-end High Point Awards will be calculated just after the first of the year. The top achiever in both Youth and Adult categories will be awarded. All those who participated in ACS shows deserve to have their points counted, so if you did not post your results, please contact us as soon as possible to assist you in re-opening your show. We will not be able to make any changes or updates past January 20, 2008.

Also, don't forget to sign up your 2008 ACS now! Once again, fantastic incentive gifts will be awarded to the first 50 shows that are confirmed and paid for!

Tulsa Convention a Standout
100 Years
Based on your feedback, the 2007 AHA Annual Convention was a huge success! To see all the happenings, including the President's State of the Association Address, approved Resolutions, plus all the prestigious Award Winners, check out the updated Convention highlights by clicking here. The 2008 AHA Annual Convention will be held in Denver, Colorado. It is another non-hosted Convention, and our many thanks go out to those Regions who have already pledged much-needed financial support. Nominate Your Favorite Groom - FINAL CALL!
 
Do you know a groom who deserves special recognition for outstanding work? If so, nominate him or her for the 2007 Modern Arabian Horse Groomer of the Year Award. All you have to do is write a letter between 250-300 words explaining why the groom is deserving of this honor. Include your and the groom's name, address and contact information. All grooms nominated will receive a certificate of excellence, and all finalists will also receive an embroidered Modern Arabian Horse jacket. You can e-mail your nomination letter to magazine@arabianhorses.org, fax it to (303) 696-4599 or mail it to the Arabian Horse Association, c/o Groomer of the Year. Deadline for all nominations is December 31, 2007.

Time to Check Out Your Achievement Award Points
 
We are getting close to year end and that means determining the Horse and Amateur Achievement Award High Point Winners. AHA wants to make sure that participants get all the points they've earned, so please check your Horse and Rider Competition Records to verify 2007 point totals. Just log on ArabianHorses.org with your member and pin numbers. If you find any results or points discrepancies, contact AHA by the end of December at 303-696-4500 or info@arabianhorses.org.

Please note: Only horses and amateurs initially enrolled or renewed in the Horse and Amateur Achievement Awards for 2007 are eligible for the High Point Awards. Points that were bought back retroactively for 2007 will not be included
