Courtesy renewal notices have been mailed for Amateur Achievement Awards, Horse Achievement Awards, Halter Futurity Renominations, Sweepstakes Point Enrollment, Distance Horse and Dressage Horse Programs. Please keep in mind these are courtesy renewal notices. It is the responsibility of the owner to renew their horses prior to the appropriate deadlines whether a notice is received or not. You can renew your horse in most of the programs by clicking here, mailing in a renewal form or contacting an AHA Customer Service Representative.

Halter Futurity Buyback Program

If your horse has been dropped from the Halter Futurity Program due to non-payment, it may be reinstated by paying the following fees:

  • Half-Arabians/Anglo-Arabians: $250 per horse/per country in addition to the $35 renomination fee per horse/per country for each year missed.
In order to be eligible for the Halter Futurity Buyback Program, the horse must have originally been enrolled In-Utero.

Check Your Paperwork

Sweepstakes prize money at the national, regional, local show and designated events will be paid only to the party whose name appears on a horse's Certificate of Registration on December 31 of the year the prize money is earned. Checks for prize money are mailed after December 31 of each year, not later then 60 days of receipt of complete results for that year. Be sure to update all paperwork before December 31. You can verify your points on-line and contact AHA directly if there are any discrepancies or questions.

Show Secretaries/Ride Managers

In order for all eligible Sweepstakes points to be counted for 2007, all corrected results must be received at AHA by January 15, 2008. Corrected results received after this date will not be counted for Sweepstakes Prize Money payout.

In-Utero Application Deadline

The entry deadline for Breeding Entries and Halter Futurity Nominations is December 31, 2007. Entries must be postmarked/electronic transaction dated by December 31st in order to avoid any late fees. Entries postmarked/electronic transaction dated January 1 through February 15th will be assessed an additional $100 late fee. Please see AHA Handbook for additional information regarding entry deadlines. Final enrollment can be made on-line, the form can be downloaded from the website and then mailed in, or the information can be taken over the phone by a Customer Service Representative. However, if the Sweepstakes entry is going to be placed on a Deferred Billing Agreement, a completed and signed Deferred Billing Agreement must be submitted with the entry information and forwarded to AHA.
