Get the Points
Don't forget to enroll your horses for Points BEFORE the start of your first show. Prize money earned through Points can be earned in every designated Sweepstakes class at local, regional and national levels and every distance ride sponsored by an AHA-recognized organization. Distance Rides and Points
All AHA recognized Local Rides (except Limited Distance Rides) will earn points on all horses beaten, regardless of breed. AHA Regional and National Rides will earn points based on the number of Arabian, Half-Arabian/Anglo-Arabians that started the ride. Only Endurance Rides 50 miles or greater or Competitive Trail Rides 25 miles or greater will receive Points Payback. When AHA recognized rides are held in conjunction with a Regional Ride, only the Regional Ride will be eligible for Sweepstakes Points.

Emerson Drive to Headline First Youth Nationals Concert!
For the first time, AHA is proud to offer its youth exhibitors, their families, guests and the community of Albuquerque a unique reason to attend and experience the 2007 Arabian and Half-Arabian Youth Nationals Championship Horse Show. Live on the Box Car Stage at Expo New Mexico, Nashville recording artists Emerson Drive and guest Liz Carlisle will appear on Wednesday, August 1. This first-ever Youth Nationals Concert will welcome the hottest young country band on the circuit, along with Harvard graduate turned singer/songwriter Liz Carlisle.

AHA celebrates three out of four national shows this year as they mark specific milestones in their evolution. Canadian Nationals is marking its 50th Anniversary, Sport Horse Nationals its 5th and Youth Nationals its 15th. Last Son of Khemosabi++++// Wins Horse of Year Honor
Artesan+++// (Khemosabi++++// x Obsession JD), a nine-year-old purebred Arabian gelding owned by Susie McArthur of Kentfield, Calif., ranked as the top horse among a field of more than 3,000 Arabians, Half-Arabians and Anglo-Arabians to become the 2006 Arabian Horse Association (AHA) High Point Horse. To reach this pinnacle, the gelding had to accumulate the highest number of points in the Horse Achievement Awards program during 2006. He racked up 457.5 points in his year of competing in dressage, sport horse in-hand and under saddle and show hack to win the award as well as add three plusses and two slashes in Achievement Awards symbols to his name. Darley Awards Winners Announced
The Darley Awards were founded in 1987 to honor the best in Arabian horse racing. This distinguished ceremony recognizes the most outstanding racehorses, jockeys, owners, trainers and breeders of the Arabian community. The Darley Committee selects the nominees and a Voting Academy decides the winners. The Voting Academy is made up of knowledgeable individuals within the racing community. 2007 Convention Hotels Ready to Take Reservations
