RYTT Revs Up for '07
In 2006, 71 teams participated in the Regional Youth Team Tournament for prizes and recognition, building esprit de corps and having a lot of fun in the process. Who'll win this year? Get in on the action for just $10 per team of six youth. Count results from shows and rides you already go to! Choose from AHA-recognized and non-recognized (open and ACS events) shows and rides. Each region has its own RYTT Secretary to answer your questions and record results. Plus you can join as many teams as you like. It's so easy! Expanded Trail Rides in 2007
In 2007, trail ride enthusiasts will have more options to consider regarding the recreational trail rides that have become so popular during the last two years. The Fort Robinson Ride in Crawford, Neb., will be held from September 12-16. The V-6 Ranch ride in Parkfield, Calif., will be held from Sept. 26-30. Aron Moon+// Named AHA Distance Horse of the Year
The 2006 winner of the AHA Distance Horse of the Year Award is presented to Half-Arabian Aron Moon+//, a 23 year old Arabian/Welsh Pony cross owned by Mike Tracy of Hollister, Calif. Aron Moon, aka "Moon" was chosen for his outstanding endurance accomplishments. During his 18 year endurance career, he's had 95 completions out of 108 starts giving him an 88 percent completion rate and 5,625 miles. Additionally, he's earned 536 Achievement Awards points during his career, reaching the prestigious Legion of Excellence level. Click here.
AHA Expands USDF All-Breeds Awards for '07
AHA has expanded its participation with the USDF All-Breeds Awards for 2007 to include Adult Amateur, Junior/Youth Rider and Vintage Cup as well as Open categories. Horses earn scores toward USDF All-Breeds Awards through USEF/USDF-licensed shows. Registered Arabian, Half-Arabian or Anglo-Arabian horses are eligible to be considered for USDF All-Breeds Awards if they are enrolled with AHA before October 1st of the competition year. Darley Awards 2007
The Darley Awards Ceremony and Black-Tie Dinner will be held at the Resort Suites, Scottsdale, Arizona, in conjunction with activities of the Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show.
