AHA Website on the Move
 
AHA will be performing additional work on its Oracle system this weekend to finalize improvements for better customer service. The system will be inactive at 6:00 p.m. Friday, November 10, 2006 and be back open for business on Sunday, November 12, 2006 at 7:00 p.m.

Halter Futurity Renominations have been mailed out. You must either renew online or snail mail your entry postmarked no later than Dec. 31, 2006. (For this year only, initial in utero Halter Futurity Nominations are not due until March 31, 2007.)

Get Your Paperwork Straight
 
Sweepstakes prize money earned at national, regional and local shows or designated events will be paid only to the party whose name appears on the Certificate of Registration as of December 31 of the year the prize money is earned. Make sure all your paperwork is updated by year end!
Futurity Prize Money Tops $366,000
 
Performance Futurity prize money paid at U.S. Nationals was $148,000 with the highest paid class, Arabian Western Pleasure, awarding almost $30,000.

Halter Futurity classes at U.S. Nationals paid out $219,000 over five classes, with the champion filly taking home $19,200.

Judging Contest Results
 
Forty-nine teams of 4-H, FFA, AHA, and collegiate youth converged in Louisville to compete at the Arabian Horse Judging Contest during the U.S. Nationals. Kids placed classes of four horses each in an attempt to match the official placings determined by a panel of carded judges. Winners took home beautiful trophy saddles from Equine Pro Tack, $7,000 in scholarships, and hundreds of other prizes. Click here for results

Exhibitor Wins Free Advertising

Congratulations to Bob Groover of Delavan, Wis., who was drawn as the winner of Arabian Horse Magazine's FREE AD drawing held at U.S. Nationals. Bob's horse, KF Van Halen, took a Top 10 in Half-Arabian/Anglo-Arabian Country Pleasure Driving. The horse is owned by Isabella and Elise Groover and trained by John White. Look for Bob's free ad in the upcoming December/January issue of Arabian Horse Magazine.
