TCE Balastrana+++// Wins 2005 High Point Horse Award
Half-Arabian TCE Balastrana+++// (TC Expression x Brooklynn) owned by Mercy Burwell, Brentwood, Mo., ranked as the top horse among a field of more than 3,100 Arabians, Half-Arabians and Anglo-Arabians to become the 2005 AHA Year-End High Point Horse. To reach this pinnacle, the mare had to accumulate the highest number of points in the Horse Achievement Awards program during 2005. She racked up 388 points in just three months by winning six championships, two reserves and four top tens in training, first and second level dressage and sport horse in hand at Youth and Sport Horse Nationals. The horse acquired additional points at Regions 11 and 13 and the ABU All Arabian, Hoosier Horse Classic and Illinois/Arab Inc All Arabian Show.

Top Amateur Award Goes to Michael Desiderio
Michael Desiderio from Chester, New Jersey, earned the 2005 High Point Amateur Award by earning 594.5 points in the Amateur Achievement Awards program. The 15 year old competed in both amateur and open classes including working hunter, working hunter under saddle, hunter hack and hunter seat equitation not to jump and over obstacles. His younger brother Anthony was also among the Top Ten with 301 points. Michael earned 10 championships, two reserves and six top tens at Sport Horse, Youth and Canadian Nationals and numerous other championship awards.

Task Force Solicits Input
The Resolution 5-90 Overview Study Task Force, appointed by President Myron Krause, includes Committee Chair Howard Pike and members Bill Hughes, Chris Culbreth, Alan Ehrlick and Eric Wolfe. They would appreciate any comments members have concerning the operation of the Office of the Judges and Stewards Commissioner. The Office is charged with educational and evaluation programs related to AHA Judges and Stewards, as well as educational programs for exhibitors. The Committee meets in March and will evaluate views and concerns submitted to the following mailbox: comments@ArabianHorses.org.
