AHA Welcomes Pegasus Pegasus Vans and Trailers of Sandusky, Ohio, has joined the Arabian Horse Association (AHA) as its newest Corporate Partner, providing both cash and a trailer to benefit Arabian Horse Youth Association (AHYA) programs. The trailer will be raffled off at the U.S. National Arabian and Half-Arabian Championship Horse Show held from October 7-16, 2004, in Louisville, Kentucky. "We wanted to support youth because they are the future of the breed," says Pegasus President Dean Wikel, "I am a longtime Arabian horse breeder, and I want the youth in our industry to continue their loyalty and interest in the Arabian horse for many years to come." Arabian Horsepower Needs You At the 2004 Youth Nationals, AHA will host a new community outreach program for Albuquerque area children between ages 7 and 12 to learn about Arabian horses. Children will pick up a booklet with a list of questions, games, trivia and more, plus a customized barn map with participating barns willing to share knowledge with the kids. This program will take place one day only on Saturday, July 31. Come be a part of it! Here's how:

Wanted: Arabian Horses for Equine Affaire! The Equine Affaire ranks as one of the hottest horse expositions in the country and a great promotional venue, exposing thousands of interested people to horses of every breed. AHA has established a presence at several of these major events and encourages owners to join us with their Arabian horses in the Horse and Farm Exhibit area. Be sure to book in advance. Best Kept Secret is a Great Promo Tool AHA Affiliate Clubs and many individuals have received copies of the updated DVD Arabians: The Best Kept Secret, a 7.5-minute film that presents the attributes of Arabian horses with heartfelt testimonials by longtime owners. AHA encourages you to make copies of this DVD for widespread distribution in schools, libraries, 4-H clubs, etc. You never know when you might ignite a passion for the Arabian horse in some young person. Registration Commission Breeders Forum The Registration Commission will hold a Breeders Forum for owners and breeders of Arabian, Half-Arabian and Anglo-Arabian horses this Saturday, June 12, at 8:00 a.m. in the Pyramid Society Patron's Lounge at the Kentucky Horse Park during the Egyptian Event in Lexington, Kentucky. All those interested in Arabian, Half-Arabian and Anglo-Arabian horses are encouraged to attend. All are welcome, and no R.S.V.P. is required. The Breeders Forums have been well-received and provide people with a good opportunity to network and ask questions of the Registration Commission. |
