Strange Horse Laws

Here are some very strange horse laws from different states in the US:
In New York City, it is illegal to open or close an umbrella in the presence of a horse.
It is illegal to fish from horseback in Washington D.C, Colorado, and Utah.
Tennessee prohibits riders from lassoing fish.
Marshalltown, Iowa, it is against the law for a horse to eat a fire hydrant.

Can you believe that? Hilarious huh! Want to read more? Check out the complete list here

Winter is Just Around the Corner

Are you thinking about all of those wonderful sweaters and scarves you get to start pulling out of the closet yet? As soon as your winter clothing comes out, it's also time for your horse's coats to come out.
September is the perfect month to make sure you have checked that your horse's cold-weather clothes are in good condition also. Check for rips in blankets or sheets, broken leg straps, and tears in slinkies that may be dangerous. Now is the time to get everything mended and sent to the laundromat. It may be time to order some new clothes for your horses…or yourself. The easiest options are out of catalogues… and can you say "online shopping spree?" When the first snow begins to fly, your horse will be snug as a bug in rug with all his clothes clean, warm and snuggly!
