AHA Registrar Debbie Fuentes, first woman elected President to National Pedigreed Livestock Council

The National Pedigreed Livestock Council (NPLC) this week elected Debbie Fuentes, Senior Director of Customer Service and Registrar for the Arabian Horse Association, as its new President for 2009 - 2010. NPLC represents various nonprofit breed associations of dairy, horse and pony, sheep, goat, swine and beef species and is made up of executives from 58 member and associate member organizations. The Council is made up of executive officers from species and breed groups and serves as a think tank and repository for thoughtful exchange of ideas that will enhance the organizations it represents.

"AHA is very proud of the work Mrs. Fuentes has done as an ambassador for the Arabian horse worldwide. We feel strongly that AHA has in Debbie the best breed Registrar in the country and we're delighted that the NPLC has recognized her for the leadership she is sure to bring to the Council as its newly elected President," said Lance Walters, AHA President.

Mrs. Fuentes is the first woman elected as President of the Council.
